Connect Multi Academy Trust Launches Ambitious ‘Race Around the World’ Challenge to Unite Schools and Support Cancer Research UK

Connect Multi Academy Trust has announced an exciting and heartfelt end‑of‑year initiative: a Trust‑wide Race Around the World challenge that will see all eight schools collectively clock up an extraordinary 25,000 miles in support of Cancer Research UK.

This ambitious challenge is designed to bring students, staff, families, and local communities together with one shared purpose — to move, to collaborate, and to make a meaningful difference for a vital cause.

Throughout the final term, pupils and staff across the Trust will contribute miles through a wide range of activities. From walking between schools and taking part in colourful fun runs, to using treadmills and fitness equipment set up in school atriums, every step will help push the Trust closer to its global target.

The initiative is rooted in connection, connecting schools, connecting communities, and connecting personal effort to collective impact. By working together, the Trust aims to highlight the power of unity and the importance of supporting life‑changing research.

Staff across Connect Multi Academy Trust have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, sharing their own fitness journeys and inspiring students to get involved. Many have showcased their Great North Run training, while others have contributed miles through cycling, hiking, or personal fitness routines.
